Tertiary packaging
Glossary
Tertiary packaging is the outer, transit packaging used to facilitate the handling, storage, and transport of a large number of secondary packages. It does not come into direct contact with the product itself.
Tertiary packaging is primarily for logistics and is not intended for the average consumer.
